    need help on subtitles

    have movie (seperate srt file) to big for a cdr
    used virtualdub to split< successfull

    original srt file does not work on 2nd part or the movie< ofcourse!

    used subadjust to split the srt file to match the 2 parts movie< successfull

    adjust the time on the 2nd part of srt file to start at 00:00:00< not successfull

    please help me adjust the 2nd part of the srt file to start at the proper time.
    >the manual was clear enough, but somehow it was not working for me.
    >please help on settings
    >please provide if there's alternative program
    >just please help!!!

      subadjust has given me weird subs before, have you tried any other programs?

      Like UncasMS said, try SubRip.

        okay the movie i have is *.avi and it comes with seperate *.srt file

        can i use the subrip to rip a subtitle from my avi movie or
        can i use subrip to adjust the time of the 2nd part of the *srt file to work on the 2d part of my *.avi

          Subrip makes the subs from the .ifx and .vob's.

          However, you CAN edit the timing in it. Open your .srt file in subrip, then go to corrections -> time correction.

          Adjust accordingly and cross your fingers.

          edit >> if your subtitle files aren't split already, make sure you cut it in the appropriate place and then edit the second half only (Output Format -> Split output file)
