    .ogm file help

(not sure if this is the right forum to ask this)

I'v got the codecs but every time I play a .ogm file theres this black bar(kinda like widescreen) on the top and I can't find any way to get rid of it. Anyone know how to fix it?

it may work, but I am not sure
here is the file itself ( I searched for it)

open that and it will start downloading.

How would I use that filter?

I'm not all that smart on this kind of stuff.

unzip it and install it. You should have an unpacker like winzip.

maybe put it in the root folder (c:/win/system32) and copy + paste.

What do I do after that?

                    I'm pretty confused.

try and play your file. If someone who reads this thread and knows where to put the file, correct me please.

*.VDF is a virtualdubfilter and wont be of much help in this case.

in order to check if this is a playback fault (which i think) or if the black bar is part of the file, load your ogm into a special version of virtualdub: virtualdubMOD.

in case you dont see any black bars in vdMOD the file is fine and your problem is a playback error.

re-install divx + ogg and dont forget that your graphic drivers may be to blame!!
(experienced this myself a couple of days ago: a newly created xvid file wouldnt play in fullscreen due to different [new] vga drivers)

Its fixed now I needed to get the VirtualDubMod DLL files and I put them into my root folder & reinstalled ogg.

I hate it when I spend hours trying to figure something out when its so simple

Anyway, thanks for all your help guys!
