    How to burn a 720Mb file to 700mb CD-R?

DVDx did a good job for me and I have ended up with three big .avi files. Two of them are 720Mb in size. How do I burn these onto an 80 Min. (700Mb) CD-R Blank? Is some kind of 'overburning' involved? I configured DVDx to produce files for 80 Min. ISO's and it produced these big files... strange.

    Thanks for any help!

either extract your audio stream and convert it with a smaller bitrate though 20mb are quite much to get rid off (switching from mp3 to ogg should do the job however)

or burn your cd as XCD

Thanks for your advice UncasMS. I decided on the XCD option and discovered that up to 795Mb can be burned onto a 700Mb CD-R using this method. Playback works but is limited to my CD-ROM and BSPlayer. Playback via my DVD drive is not possible for some reason.

My next interest is to replace Mp3 as an audio compression codec with AAC (Advanced Audio Codec), also known as Mpeg 4.
