    New Doom9 codec comparison out!

Well much has changed since the last codec comparison from Doom9. After 3 weeks of hard work Doom9 has delivered a comprehensive and one of the most unbiased codec comparisons. Take a look for yourself:

What does it say about your codec? More importantly, what does that say about you

I just read it last night and it was a really good article. I don't know if I will change my codec or not though

not much news if you ask me.

some codecs more than before, but no deeper insight / suggestion/ advice.

i guess everyone of the more activ users would have known *that much* before.

I mean it was nice to see the screenshots on how much the quality was lost or gained from before versions but like Doom9 said it doesn't look like DivX did any better

At least, we will have no more of the spread of the rumour that 3IVX will be the the most excellent codec there is out there . . .

And I was indeed right (amongst many others) on moving on to XviD with my encodes. It is the codec to go for (I personally think that XviD has more details and sharpness though).
