How can I boost up the AC3 volume ???

Hi,

Since I have a new PC (with an intel sound chip) and play my movies with the AC3 codec the sound volume is very very very low (even if I turn all possible volume buttons (soft and hardware) I jsut hear them speak in a movie). But this is only with the AC3 movies, not with an mp3 or other movies/sounds.

Can someone help me with this problem, or has the same problem ???

Maby there is a program to boost up the volume or something.

Hey I'd like to know to! I created a custom splash screen for my Audigy 2 card (it plays when XP starts). It was the THX intro. But the volume is too low. Help us!!!

i've got the same problem. i've installed AC3Filter ver 0.70b but when i play avi files with ac3 sound the sound is too low! even with max software and hardware setting i can't hear enough.

Demux sound with VirtialDubMod
Use BeSweet and BeSweetGUI: check 'Compress Dynamic Range"
Mux back boosted ac3. (alternately tweek pre/postGain)
Or you can convert to wav and use other programs (WaveUp, Goldwave, etc) to boost wav audio.
