    4CC: xvid

    always when movie is:
    Codec: XviD
    4CC: xvid
i see the colors like a topographical map if you know what i mean,
(area of one color inside an area of darker inside an area of darker) its's not as good as it should be!
when i change the 4CC with AviC to dx50 it's good but only when i play it with Divx Player 2.1, nothing changes when i use WMP
even though Divx 5.0.5 is the only codec installed now.
i don't know if it's WMP which is generally $hitty or is it $hitty because it doesn't use divx codec like Divx Player only some other
    codec.
Does anyone know how to make it look good with WMP or
how to have subtitles with Divx Player?

please save me the lame advices to install nimo or tsunami!

      i have tried:
      XviD uManiacs 24.02.2003.1100
      XviD-04102002-1 - Koepi
      XviD-14052003-1 - Koepi unstable
      XviD-30032003 - Nic
      XviD-Dec-231002 - Nic
      DivX 5.0.5 Pro
      3ivx D4 4.0.4
      ffdshow-20030523
      Nimo50 Build8
      Nimo50 Build9 Beta1
      Tsunami 3.9.9

always installing them clean (all the others uninstalled)

as i said with Divx Player 2.1 i have perfect video but i don't have subtitles with WMP and Vplayer (polish but very good software - many awards) video looks like a topographical map but thanks to Vplayer which runs on WMP i have subtitles.

      thx for your reply!

Say, have you tried playing them using Sasami2k?? the latest version i think is 757. it's my preference player. Since you already have a lot of capable codecs.
