    All I want to do is watch a movie on my computer.

    when i try to play a movie on my divx 2.1 it says error fourcc xvid. So i download a bunch of stuff and get nothing..I just want a simple download that gives me an icon on my desktop when its finished .I click. and watch my movie thats all i want can anyone plz.plz.help me? I tried the go to this place and goto that place with alot of languge i dont understand..and terminology i cant seem to get..just easy and simple=) thank you

      I looked at the web site you provided and cannot find FFDSHOW what exactly is the download called?..ty for your reply btw=)

        you could find a link to sourceforge/ffdshow in the sticky posting: no sound - no video....

        or otherwise www.google.com will also be able to help

            or download a codec pack, that should leave u with no (hopefully ) problems in the near future... try nimo codec pack ( i.e. http://new.softnews.ro/public/cat/11...1-2-2-12.shtml ), or tsunami codecs (use googles 8-) )

              In case of any error after you install the FFDShow, try downloading the newest xvid codec itself. you can find the necessary software in Doom9 (www.doom9.org) in the downloads part

                Install and configure FFDShow to handle XviD contents (Configuration >> Codecs >> Enable XviD under Decoder).
