Hard Disk Serious Problem

Hello all,
my hard drive found a way to keep me up all night and try to understand what's its problem......!
I run Scandisk and somewhere midway it started making weird noises.....klick....klick....klick....klick....... I guess you know what I mean. The thing is that it stops scanning there...no more.
Maybe is the bad sector or something like that ...thing....
Is there any cure for that or do I need a new drive?

that sounds might well be the last sounds your hdd will make!

try to rescue as much data as you can, because that sounds like a headcrash and you shopuld take it really serious!

copy, burn, rescue your data asap and have the hdd exchanged from the manufacturer.

The sound of a hard drive on its last leg. About time you prepared a claim form for the poor drive.

p.s. How many drives have failed you? And are they from the same manufacturer and distributor?

....well as previously, the hard drive "was" a Caviar WD. Too bad it's the last time they get my money.

And just to let you know.....I saved everything exept some mp3s.

I lost 100gb of information. It was a very sad day for me.

About 6months worth of information, games, movies, mp3s, down the drain.

Yeah, and evrything was SFV'd, and lots of bootlegs, rarities, etc..
