    About video catalogation ...

But what I still never found in any software I look for it's the most important feature ever, if I have a dvd with 5 divx I just wanna know if there is any kind of software that scan the things in my dvds and after find the 5 movies I have the possibility from the software and not using other programs to get the STILLS or some THUMBNAIL from the movies ..... Anyone can help me in that ? Thx for the help.

Windows XP will give you a thumb nail pic of video if you put each video in a separate file folder and keep all of those folders in one video folder, you really will not need to have special software for this. Windows will put them all in alphabetical order for you and if you click on view thumb nail in folder views, it will give a thumbnail pic from that video. ( or any operating system for taht matter)

        Take a look at this:

Catalog your collection of CDs and vinyl records, DVDs and Blu-rays, books, comic books or video games. Use the Connect web-based software, install the CLZ mobile app on your iPhone, iPad or Android device, or use the downloadable Collector software on your Windows computer.

here is a program that will allow you to rip a pic from video and you can save that pic and make your own thumb nails for you catalog.

WinDVD can do it as well. I got a copy of v.4 with my BenQ burner. It saves the capture as a .bmp.

Nope nope, we are far away, I know a lot of program that let people to do that, but you know, if you have something like 100 dvd and you have to make thumb for all the movies will be something like impossible for who have short time at all. What I ask for it's just a catalog software that have that possibility inside himself without using others software. Thx for help

not every computer project is going to be fast and easy.

DID you actually click on that first link and read it all?

Create a personal movie database without typing

                  Use Movie Collector to:
                  Catalog DVDs without typing

All data is downloaded to your movie database automatically
                  Instantly sort your lists

On any field, e.g. alphabetically by title, director or genre, or by year
                  View DVD cover thumbnails

Download cover images or use the built-in TWAIN scanner support
                  Search your movie database

E.g. find a movie by title or all movies that Arnie plays in
                  Print movie lists

Ideal for insurance purposes. Print any field selection and in any order
                  Export data to HTML lists

Place your movie database on a website, including cover images
                  Track your loans

Track who borrowed your DVDs, loan dates and due dates

I use great software for catalogization of CD's named CD Catalog Expert. It's really great and maybe it could help you with your videos too. Here is the web site: http://www.zero2000.com/
