delete anything on your hd, wherever it is saved to clear space for your back-up files. right click, delete. then empty your recycle/norton recycle bin"One day men will look back and say I gave birth to the 20th Century". Jack The Ripper - 1888

playmaker, you need about 4.4Gb of free space on your hard drive for Shrink to hold the Shrunken files before they get burnt to the dvd blank disc.
To clear up some space check the drives properties and click on "Disk Cleanup" if you still don't have enough space try uninstalling some software you don't need/use. But don't start deleting files willy-nilly or things will stop working.
