    help, can't save/write to my liteon dvd drive anymore?

    hi, i am trying to save a jpeg to my rw dvd drive which i have have done successfully lots if times but cannot anymore!

    the wizard is coming up with an error in the writing process! and says disc may now be unusable?

    anyway i have tried saving jpegs and mp3's and also tried various discs to write to including cd-r cd-rw and dvd-r. nothing works anymore!
    anyone help me here!

    Your disc may be full, or not writable. Try using Nero to erase it.

        Make sure your firmware is current for your drive.

          Hello,
          If updating your firmware doesnt help the burner may be going out.
          How long have you had it?

          Are you using a different brand of media then you have in the past?

            hi, firmware is up to date.
            i have had it about 2 years, but it still burns ok through nero ie; for mp3's or dvd video files!
            it just does'nt work via the windows wizard?

              which windows wizard?, there are lots of them. there's a imap cd burning com service, it's crap

                Try removing your drive from windows setup and install again. Try to use the newest drivers.

                    would but can't find the driver on the web?

                      dvd or cd burners don't use any special drivers, they just have a generic one from the OS, what they do need is FIRMWARE(tells them how to burn media).
