burning tivo file from my pc

Hello I have the new humax tivo recorder/burner and I would like to edit the files that I have transported to my pc (in tivo desktop). Does anyone know how to get at these files? I can burn the disc on the recorder and edit that disc through dvd dycrpt/shrink but I don't need the extra discs thanks

I would think that you should be able to work with the video where ever it is saved, or maybe export the files to another folder.
