memorex should have released a newer version
6 months is a long time for dvd firmware

Looking at that firmware page, the BS0Y - stock is the one I want?

ok, today I went out and bought some new blank dvd's. I got Verbatim +R's and Verbatim -R's. I was able to sucessfully burn and get to play in that drive the +r's but no matter what I do the -R's give an illegal disk message. Is this a firmware issue??

at the bottom patched crossflash
will give you a 6 month newer frimware

be sure and flash with no disks in drive and from safe mode
