    nero "audio cd" to HD

any software (free only) to suggest for this, or can it be done another way? would like your opinions here. have a nero cd that was burned with mp3's using nero's "audio cd" setting in express. just want to rip to HD a couple tracks to HD. would like them to end up as typical mp3's. mixed ideas i'm finding by searching so i thought i see your ideas too, i found a freeware ripper but not sure if i should need it, never done this before

opening disc shows as you know .cda files....

I don't like nero's media player, but the mp3 ripper is in package 4

Nero Upgrade Center - Comparez nos produits Nero ! Mise à niveau vers la dernière version ✓ Aperçu de tous les produits Nero ✓ Caractéristiques ►Mise à niveau maintenant !

in version 5.5 it was part of nero rom

what I like is the ability to make audio cd's with nero and remove silence between tracks and crossfade,
            wave editor is adequate.

i don't like ANYTHING nero does in relation to audio/video (or dvd burning for that matter ) , but admittedly their 2-pass aac encoder is good (it's not included in any nero packages, it's standalone cli), and completely free

i don't burn audio cd's, only rip & encode to FLAC. if i do burn one i'd probably use nero to create the image then imgburn

when i mean audio/video i mean the extras-->encode files in burning rom, nerovision express, showtime, etc

probably ought to run a low level bus snooper and sort out that problem

I use MusicMatch for ripping, because it keeps the library of songs, it's fast, and it uses GraceNote to look up the songs online.

From my tests it uses very little cpu, but i wasn't gaming while burning
