Oh ya I forgot about that. Try logging in under the administrator account. See if you can remove it then.

when you reboot your system.... do you have to click on a username and then enter a passo word?

Notevery one has their pc set up the same way. The administrative account on my pc is my username and password.

Windows gives you this option in case you have more then one user for your computer that way only the administrator can make any changes to settings and or add or remove any programs.

That may be the case for you not sure how your set up.

Click start/ control panel / user accounts

See if there is an administrative accont set up in there if so login under that account you should be able to make changes then.

you can have more then one user name set up on ONE computer. Only that addministrator can make changes if you have that set up.

You may need to use the user name and password to get onto the administrative account though.

Who set your computer up for you?

Every XP computer has a built in admin account. Users can have administrator priviledges but there is still an admin account

Do a google search for lost xp admin password and you'll find a program that will let you reset the admin password
