use good media, nero to burn. make sure whatever compression they are is supported by the player you will play them on. pretty simple task actually.

my problem is the opposite. i already have avi on data dvds and would like to get them burned.

when i got my burner it came with nero and powerdvd. i also tried a trial i believe of ultra6. thats when i did the data discs and cleared out my computer.

been playing here for awhile and yesterday i came across a thread about avi to dvd, so alas i decided to let me try that with Avi2DVD.

i put in the disc, copied a file to computer, opened with above program and ran it. seemed to be working, but my temp file does not match the guide i followed, i have different things.

i am probably in the wrong place, but since it started with nero, so here i am.

not wanting to buy anything, i was wondering what i might use to help me along and get these into dvd form?

                    yes LT, that's the one.

i've attached what was in the temp folder it created, all but the audiostream 1 MPG 3 1CH.ac3, it won't upload even when zipped. but i'm new to that too, so i might not be doing it correctly. the original file size is 246MB. i saw something about compression, so i might try that on the file if you need it.
btw the video one appears to be empty! no wonder it wouldn't play anywhere, but the program said job was done!
