    Couple of problems please help?!?!?

    Hi

I have recently "made" divx rips of coyote ugly and dude wheres my car,

Windows is reporting them to be 699mb and 706mb respectively.

Nero is telling me that they will not go onto an 80 minute CD

So how on earth am i supposed to get them onto an 80 minute CD

Please help - im quite a newbie - so nothing too technical if possible.

Is there anything like a file size fix for releases?

    Thanks for you help

If you're creating a VCD, you will indeed be unable to fit the whole movie onto 1 CD, be it 74min or 80min. However, if you're burning it in data mode (file), you should have no problem doing so.

You can try overburning (if you cdrw is supported) or you can cut the credits off the end (if you encoded them also)

go to neros expert settings and increase the max cd length in order to overburn

Ok - so what software would be easiest to use - in order to simply chop some of the credits off the end of the movie - i would be looking for a reasonably simple GUI interface if possible leaving the movie intact with the picture and audio quality it is at the moment - so essentially just chopping the last minute or so of the file off without changing the movie itself?

          Thanks

Use VirtualDub v1.4.10. Simply open the avi, use the slider in the preview window to find the start of the credits. Click on the start mark button, slide the slider to the end of the movie and click on the end mark button. Now go to the edit menu and select delete frames. Under the video and audio menu, ensure both are set to direct stream, and then go to file and select save avi (using a different name than the original) Now you will have the same movie minus the credits.
