    recording home dvds

I am trying to transfer my movies drom DVCs to my pc then to DVD. I have Sony Vegas & of course Movie Maker. None of them seem to be able to work correctly. I actully can get the dvd to work on one of my players if I use MM. The things is I can't give it to anyone else if they don't have the same type of dvd plaer or ones withthe same features, whatever those are. Suggestions?

Is there anything that works on all players?

If you are recording home video with a camcorder you may want to consider ripping the video from the camcorder to your computer. To do this you will need a capturing divice.

You could get a capture card installed on your pc or get a divic e like Dazzle.

Working with video from the computer will make it a more compatable format.

As I said I am already doing that.

No problem withthe transfer, the problem is putting it to dvd & being able to play it too.
