can't burn to dvd-r

Is there another program to do the burn phase? I have nero (not sure what version) But can not burn to dvd-r media. I have no problems with dvd+r. And yes I do have a double layer dvd+/-rw burner. Any feed back would be greatly welcomed. I bought a 100 _r's and can't use them or take them back.

Sure there is plenty of burning tool/program/apps. i.e TMPGenc has its own writing tool, what kind of file were you trying to burn? I just can´t figure out why you would have problem with DVD-R but not with DVD+R. I am sure it wouldn´t be with NERO or whatever you were using before.

Is the media (MID) supported in your burners firmware?

There is also Imgburn, but I doubt that your problem is program related. As suggested above, check that firmware is current and that you are using quality discs.

Hello,
When you find your nero log it is actually a log of every thing you have burned.

What we need is ONE complete log of the last movie you burned.
Start with the bottom and work your way up until you find the beginning of the LAST log in the file. Then copy and past it in a reply here or copy and past it to another not pad file or word document and attach it to the post.
