    Help!

    Hi Everyone,

    I need help converting regular music files to MP3 files so I can save it on my hard drive. Does anyone know what software I should use? I have Nero and Roxio EZCD creator. Can use these two software to convert it? If so, How?

      The regular music files I referred to is the one on the CD when you buy a music CD from the store. I have a lot of music that I want to convert on MP3 so I can save it on my hard drive. Please let me know what kind of software I need to be able to do that.

      Thank you.

        Hi stylings300.

        "Regular" music files on a "standard" music CD from the store are called wave files. A couple of nice programs for "ripping" those to the HD are;

        Audiograbber

        FreeRIP

        Both free, both work well. Nero & Roxio will also do it, but I personally don't like using them; The programs I referenced seem to be more trouble-free in my experience, plus they also allow you to edit the id3 tags.

        Follow the help files in the programs; they are fairly easy to get a handle on.

        regards, katz

            Hello,

            roxio and nero are for burning they will how ever also convert a .MP3 to an audio .wav which is what you call a regular music file. But they wont rip from a cd and they wont convert to a .MP3

            I have used pyro by cakewalk for years not free but cheap and easy to use.
