Good (and cheap) software for capturing movie stills?

I assume you need special software to accomplish this?

I basically want to capture a still frame from a DVD, save it, then have it available to post within a forum.

Not looking for anything at all fancy; a simple, free program would be perfect.

(Note: My DVD player is WinDVD - looks like only the premium version has this capability)

    Thanks,

    Jon

I use PowerDvd (bundled on my pc), but not sure if it is available as freeware.

Also -- good old Microsoft Windows Media Player
Press Ctrl I, it should open a save-as window to save your capture.
