Turns out i dont have any of them installed.?

You do not have to remove the old version of .NET, here is what is showing in my add/remove programs.

Microsoft.NET framework 1.1
Microsoft.Net framework 1.1 hotfix (KS886903)
Microsoft.Net framework 2.0
Microsoft.Net framework 3.0

I think it is because if you ever wanted to roll-back to a previous issue you could just remove the one you didn't want, since they all work on a standalone basis.

Thanks I do have the latest Direct X Nero 7's last update installed it for me

Microsoft updates for .Net 3.0 showed 50.8mb, but I think it only turned out to be approximately 25mb download. At my dial-up speed of 28.8 kbps it took about 1.5 hours.
