I originally posted this in the DVD Ripping forum but when it got deleted, this post was lost.
I bought a DVD recorder the other day, and I was recording some stuff on a DVD-RAM. It gave one massive VOB file (but it's another file extension), and therefore doesn't have VIDEO_TS.IFO.
My question is, how can I convert it to VOBs? I would assume it would just need to be broken up into 1GB chunks, but DVD Shrink won't open it, due to the lack of IFOs.
Also, any idea how to edit a video (like take commercials out of a taped TV show) while keeping the closed captions? I will try VideoReDo but I have a bad feeling that they won't survive.
Thanks, hopefully this isn't against the new rule as it isn't actually about decrypting a DVD.
