How can I encode a SVCD for DivX codec ??

    Hi!

Does anybody know how I can encode a SVCD that I can watch the film normally on PC? Without an DVD-ROM.

The Films on SVCD are saved there as *.mpg.
But my DivX Codec says when I want to open that film that theres no filter to encode the film. So I cant watch the film.
Is there any codec witch supports the encoding of SVCD?

    Please help me.

    THX

As far as I know WinDVD or Windows media PLayer can play back SVCD or mpg files. Or try the GdivxPLayer.

Well, Windows Media Players doesn't work with the mpeg format of a SVCD.
I've tried it a few days ago.

      But Thx 4 ur reply.

Well ,I don't see why not. I've done it. And if you look at the ext. WMP7 supports you'll see mpeg, mpg, m1v, and mp2. Unless the clip is some weird format. You can try re-installing WMP7 or the KS-Mpeg-4 VKI codecs or the OpenDivx V4.0 codec. Should work. Or download the GlobalDivx player. from www.gdivx.com

          Location: Germany?

Dann können wir uns eigentlich auch auf Deutsch unterhalten. Ich hab es probiert und da ging es nicht. Ich werde das mit dem Re-Install nochma probieren.

          Aber www.gdivx.com geht nicht ?¿

          Trotzdem Danke!

you dont need a dvd-drive to watch svcd on your pc.

powerdvd can open svcd's perfectly fine in FILE-mode.
