Rotating Images

I have several short (< 12 min) videos I took while driving that are upside down. The only mount I has was a Panavise, and the only way I could mount the camera and not hit the windshield resulted in my problem

How would I rotate these so they are viewable?

That program wipes out the image quality, but it does flip them.

then try flipping/turning on the fly within the player

with VLC for example:
Settings > Preferences... > Modules > Video Filter > Transform

Can you save the video after you've tilted it using VLC? I too have a short video that came out sideways, and wondered how I could flip it to make it appear rightside up....

if i were to turn/flip/mirror a video file constantly and not only on the fly for playback i'd use mediacoder:

- load my file into it (ICON: add file)

- use a high bitrate for the video output codec in the VIDEO tab down left (try avi as container + xvid with e.g. 2000kbps)

- use the PICTURE tab in order to ROTATE the image

- choose LAME MP3 as audio output

- press ICON "start" to generate the new output video file
