DVD Questions

hey im getting a dvd-r and was wondering if it is possible to burn playstation 2 games onto a dvd and play them on a playstation 2. If so what software do i need and do i need some sort of chip to put into the back of the play station 2.Also if i need a special boot up disk.
Also i was wondering if it is possible to take a vido file and put it into a special format in order to just put a blank DVD in and burn it on the blank disk and then Write protect it and play it as a normal dvd. If so what software is needed to convert the file.

hmm, thanks for the link, but i looked all over the page and couldnt find ot all the questions that i asked. if anyone has any idea what the answers to the DVD questions please let me know. Thanks again
