Help with AVI / DIVX

Hi,
If anyone can help me out that would be great. Im capturing video with studio DV. When i caputre it, the video is in AVI format at 740x480 resolution. The files are HUGE. How can i change these huge files into a divx format? I have found MPEG 2 DIVX converters but not an AVI to DIVX. Please help if you can.

Download and install the DivX v.3.11alpha codec (which includes the Radium MP3 audio codec as well). Also download and install either VIrtualDub or NanDub, either of which you can then use to convert your uncompressed .AVI file intoa DivX-compressed .AVI file.
