Arf... Won't play .avi although I got Codecs...

Okay so I can watch all my Anime, Movies etc but now I downloaded Men In Black 2 and Austin Powers 3... Both are complete .avi's.. However when I start em up it says "bla bla downloading Codec" "Can't find bla bal decompressor"

    I tried the 3.11 alpha and 4.x... None work=(

Load the file(s) into VirtualDub. From under the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information". Post here either a screen capture JPG of the information box or, if that's not possible, post here EVERYTHING (video and audio) you see in that box...

That doesn’t sound good!! What's the file size? Are u currently running any virus detection software? If not here is a free online virus scan ( house call )

Make sure you have activeX enabled.
I would highly suggest scanning anything downloaded from kazza or any other file sharing site for that matter.

700 meg approximately.. But it's not an executable since it ends .avi

"Cannot determine file type of 'C:\Program\KaZaA\My shared folder\Austin Powers 3- Goldmember.avi'"

Since VIrtualDub specializes in processing .AVI files (and can also accept MPEG1 files for input), you'v either downloaded a phony file or a corrupted/incomplete one...
