    Radium MP3 codec PROBLEMS

    I'm working on an AMD 1700+ with Windows XP and I have installed Radium MP3 codec on it. The installation was OK, but I'm unable to utilize it...

    with FlasKMPEK - I choose MP3 encoding but closing the tab and re-opening it I notice that PCM is selected instead. I've also tried tu put on the top of the 32 drivers [drivers32] section of my system.ini file the following:

    [DRIVERS32]
    msacm.l3acm=l3codecp.acm

    ....but nothing changes.

    with Xmpeg - the selection does not change but when I start the conversion I receive an error such as "An error occurred when trying to generated file. Check that you are not using the output file or the program is setup correctly". And again if I manually set PCM I don't receive any error.

    Thank in advance

    It's a known and common problem amongst users. Here's what I suggest you do as an alternative (which in turn yields better audio quality as well):
    1. Extract audio to .wav using Graphedit or Vob2audio
    2. Amplify the volume of the .wav file using a sound editor, such as Cooledit. As a general guide, around 150-200% volume amplification is needed.
    3. Convert the .wav to .mp3 using an mp3 encoder, such as LAME
    4. Mux the .mp3 with the video you have created in Flask/XMPEG using nandub
