    Codecs

    I'm experiencing problems when I play any movie. For some reason is the sound and picture is not syncronized. I've installed divx 3.11 alpha, divx501bundle and xvid codecs. I think the problems started after installing the xvid codecs. But after I uninstalled the xivd the problem is still there.

    Any suggestions of what could be wrong?

    If the audio is lagging behind the video in all instances, chances are you're pushing your system's limits. One/some/all of the following may improve the performance:

    1) If not already done, turn on the DMA for the drive from which you're playing the video

    2) Turn off all non-essential programs running in the background

    3) Lower your DESKTOP color depth

    4) Lower your DESKTOP resolution

    Let us know of your success ;>}

      Tnx for the tip setarip !

      Though my problem disappeared when I tried the Vplayer.

      I havent experienced this problem before. Even when I reboot, close all programs and play a movie in WMP the sound is lagging.

      I have a p3 cpu and a GF4 card so the system is/should be capable to play.

      So I better stop using WMP and just play movies in Vplayer
