Open the file in Virtualdub and go to File -> File Information. Post what you see here so we can get a better idea on the file.

And what sort of problems are you having with the DivX Player (which is buggy anyway)?

Ensure that you have either DivX 3.11 or DivX 5.02 installed.

Since you mentioned that your system is slow, you may have problems playing the movie smoothly (It has a prohibitively high resolution of 720x480, which makes it a tough one to decode). Some things that can help you: Lower screen resolution to 800x600 (or even 640x480) and colour depth to 16-bit. Also, disable all playback filters which will make it easier for your CPU to decode the file.

How slow is your computer? I'm running a P2 450 with 128mb and I have no problems with DivX. Running smoothly under both Win98 and Linux. But then I never deal with 720x480, when all I do is download, convert to mpeg2, burn to SVCD and then delete it.
