Thanks to the 328 who read my last post....wish one of had a suggestion for me!!!
Blunt request after failing to find the answer elsewhere.
I have installed and tried nimmo and other sources of x-vid codec. Some appear to be the same but re-named by the "distributor".
I am unable to convert to VDC and files compressed with the x-vid codec.
I have tried all combinations of TMPEGenc/virtualdub,xing,panasoni,sound forge, etc.
I seem to split a .wav file but running the .avi and the .wav files into TPMGenc etc,. after a a very short while it locks or gives an error message ie codec not on machine etc,.
I guess if this x-vid is going to become the latest to have stuff..how do we convert to VCD?
TIA
