    Cant Fast Forward

When I try to play certain movies, I cannot fast forward. If I try, the player reacts as if I did nothing and just keeps playing. What causes this?

It would be beneficial if you would indicate the video file format of the "certain movies" and which player you are using...

With WindowsMwdiaPlayer 9.00.00, when I try to move the slider the avi will just stop playing. Is it a bug or just some conflict in my system?

This is a well know bug in WMP9, use wmp6.4.

If I play it in windows media 6.4 I can fast forward and hear sound, but no video. It is .mpg file and has no other info on it in properties.

It might be there's no video stream at all in the file (happens a lot with downloaded video). Try to get some info about video stream properties and size (either VirtualDub-file information or GSpot).
What is the size and lenght of the file?

Whoa, I found out it is actually an ASF file. So its weird that I cant see it in WMP 6.4 and cant fast forward in 9.0. Any ideas on this?
