    audio trouble (watering) on ripped and encoded dvd

    I use Rmartripper 2.41 and vidomi 0.469. I tried on "the fall of the blackhaw, french version.
    When I encode a few minutes, OK
    When I encode a full .vob block (800mb), french version, i get a wierd sound like watering effect.
    Someone to help?

    If you play the ripped .VOB from your hard drive (BEFORE using Vidomi), is the audio correct?

      yes .vob files read with powerdvd sound fine. Problem appear after encoding with vidomi a full .vob file, but not if i make just a piece.
      What do tou think?

        I'd suggest that you experiment with different software. Try something simple, like Mediator for conversion.

        Let us know of your success ;>}

          audio:vido offsync

          It almost works: no more "water effect", but it got off-sync (audio normal speed, video too fast. I read somewhere that "I should not use vbr/abr audio in my avi" :
          -does that mean that in program settings menu, I should remove option "vbr"?
          -Or should I do something else like a double pass? if yes how?

          info: properties of the encoded film are on the off-sync movie:
          "audio= audio divx audio 64kbps, 44khz stereo for divx/ video= 720*416, 207648 frames, 25000frames:sec, 112kB/sec, unknown format"

          Thanks for your help setarip already.
