    avi troubles....

Hi, I am definately a newbie....so if you can help it would be greatly appreciated.

I downloaded a movie (avi), I used virtualdub to find out its specs.....352X288, 25000 fps(40000us (cant make that micro sign).
    # of frames 93708 (1:02:28)

    decompressor: Divx pro 5.0.2 codec
    # of key frames: 33
    min/avg/max/total key frame size: 1132/1132/1133 (347k)
    min/avg/max/total delta frame size: 58/58/58 (5290k)

There is no streaming audio specs - yet the movie is supposed to have sound.....

all i get is a black screen (title of movie and elapsed/total time displays and actually says its playing but no picture.... or sound

if anyone can help.... please respond...

i've downloaded divx pro 5.0.2 and installed it no probs but still nothing... (tried to download nimo codec pack as well - don't know how or perhaps I don't know if it is automatically using nimo pack .... HELP!!)

    thanks

Don't waste your time - it is DEFINITELY a phony file - Minimum, Maximum, Average Delta frames all equal and NO audio info...

It just ain't real This information indicates that the file is "fake"---one of many such files "floating" around on the internet.

Hmmmm, thats a good way to find out if the file is fake or not, i think im gonna do that to every partial file i get on p2p networks, to check if theyre fakes. Never noticed those are a good way to find out, thx seta

              thanks guys

Thanks alot guys for helping me out..... Its got to be a fake, I have tried every player out there.... its just that people get burned, and instead of erasing this crap they keep it so others can just waste their time... What bums me out is the fact that they write REAL in the title....

              anyways....

              thanks again.
