    Lost sound

    I have lost sound in all my avi movies. I have sound in everything else but not my movies. They worked the other day. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance

    1) Have you inadvertently muted the .WAV audio on your system?

    2) Is the volume control on your video player turned off?

      wav volume is on and i have tried a the DivX player and windows media player.

        Have you somehow deactivated, deleted, or otherwise inhibited your .MP3 audio codec?

          I have no idea. I have re installed windows media player and the 5.02 divx thing since it has happend and no luck.

            Download and install the radium .MP3 audio codec.

            By the way, what version of the Windows Media Player did you reinstall?

                OK downloaded and installed that codec. Do i have to tell windows media player to use it then?

                  Nope, it should happen automatically. First, reboot your system (to update system info regarding the installed codec)...

                      Other than the Windows Media Player and DivX v.5.02 codec, what have you added to, deleted from, or changed in your system since the last time the videos DID play with audio?

                        I have no idea right now. I think all i have done is updated windows and removed some games that I do not play anymore. Well i am off to bed. Thanks for the help. I might just reinstall windows when i get the time.
