    DivX quality question

My question is, if I have a DivX file that is 700 MB in size and I cut it in half, having 2 350 MB files, is there a way I could increase the quality of the files so that they can fill up a CD? Around 700MB, more or less. Also, I keep getting the "filename is unsupported" and such...what's up with this? I use TMPG(the newest one on the date of Dec. 6) and I get this error while trying to convert an AVI to MPEG. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If a question has already been asked and answered, please direct me to that thread. Thanks.

this might be a solution for yout problem with Tmpgenc :

->Go to options, Environmental settings, VFAPI Plug-in,

Right click on Directshow Multimedia file reader,

Increase the priority to 2. Re-open the file and encode.

indeed there is no way but you could joint the 2 files so it becomes 1 file and then you could put it on a CD of 700 mb
Let's all try to help each other

I think it would be easier not to cut it at all.
