    Splitting divx & playon PS2

Ok apologies for the stupid questions but hey you have to learn somehow

I have backed up my copy of Midnight Express all 116 minutes of it using gnot. I want to put it on either one or two cd. I have checked the forum and virtualdub seems to be the software to use so I will experiment with that.Any tips hints ?? Is it possible to put it onto 1 Cd ? If I do put it onto 2 Cd's is there a way of having a prompt at the end of the first cd to 'Change Disc' ?

Also the only DVd player I have is a Sony playstation 2. If I do get it onto disc would it play on this or do I have to spend my Euros on a DVD player

    Cheers

    Howya,
At 116min, 1CD would be fine. Quaility should be fine. Use NanDub or VirtualDub to split it in 2 if you want.
For a prompt, you would need to make it yourself.

For the PS2, I can play DivX but with a mod chip installed.
    Have a gander at www.ps2reality.net.
If your into maybe a dvd player, check out http://www.kiss-technology.com/

Splitting Divx & play on PS2

      Ok Edge

Where is the best site or thread to learn about virtual dub?
What is the best way of putting onto one disc ? Do I still have to split it ??

      Cheers

          Splitting with VirtualDub or NanDub

1)Load your original (DivX-compressed or otherwise) .AVI into VirtualDub or NanDub
          2) Set BOTH "Video" and "Audio" to "Direct Stream Copying"
          3) From the "Edit" dropdown menu, select "Set Selection Start"
          4) Move slider to approximate halfway point
          5) From the "Edit" dropdown menu, select "Go to next keyframe"
          6) From the "Edit" dropdown menu, select "Set Selection End'
          7) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "Save as AVI" - Save as a new filename (e.g. "Movie1of2.avi").
          8) From the "Edit" dropdown menu, select "Set Selection Start"
          9) From the "Edit" dropdown menu, select "Move to End"
          10) From the "Edit" dropdown menu, select "Set Selection End"
          11) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "Save as AVI" - Save as a new filename (e.g. "Movie2of2.avi").
