Dual View and Clone with NVIDIA GFORCE2 TI

Newbie needs help with Dual view capability of GFORCE2 TI video card.
I am trying to get my monitor and tv screen working at the same time but when accessing the settings for the video card it only enables me to output to either the TV or Monitor not both.
I have looked everywhere for the tab to get dual view or clone? is there a difference? but to no avail. Is this facility not available on my card? Have tried looking on NVIDIA site but no luck.

I am having the same problem...
    - I have downloaded and played around with a program called 'tv tool' but cant seem to get it working for my card.

You might have some more luck with it than i did, it can be obtained by googling 'tv tool'.
Good luck, and if you get anything working, please let me know.

Hi Alex, TV Tool will work! When I joined it was at version 7.2 and although each new version improved matters sometimes there were glitches however these did seem to get fixed fairly quickly and the site does keep you imformed of this. Last time I looked at TV Tool they have stated that there are to be no more new releases due to most if not all cards now capable of producing dual vision. I used TV tool to transmit via a video sender to my TV and it worked well. I am still using the same card so let me know if you need any more help

Hey Dave, thanks for the info on TV tool . I have been looking into it a bit more and have learnt a little bit more about how it works, and what it requires to configure certain monitors/TV's and stuff like that...

I think the main problem i have, is that when i plug the TV into the graphics card using the S-video/RCA cable into my video card, windows does not recognise the TV being plugged in. (Probably something i am doing wrong/havnt done ). I go into right click desktop>properties>settings and the only display there is my monitor ( no TV + no drop down box to select TV ). However, if i open nView i can chose the TV as a primary display from the list of displays, which then deactivates my monitor. The only nView display setting available is: Single View. I think its dual view i want ( be able to drop and drag programs TV>monitor + monitor>TV).

If you know how to get windows to recognise my TV, or if you know another way of doing it or SOMETHING, please let me know.

        Your help is much apreciated!!!

Hi Alex, what version are you using? I haven't got my tv connected at present but from memory TV Tool does not alter the settings in desktop, this is the job of TV tool. When you say nview is this desktop nview or TV tool nview? Let me know and I'll try to set mine up as yours to try and sort it. I have to admit I only used the same display on both monitor and tv and haven't tried monitor use with tv different use but have never had trouble with the picture output from the card
          Cheers
          Dave
