DivX + subtitles --->> SVCD

I have avi file (DivX) and subtitles in TXT. I would like prepare SVCD to play on DVD player.
What kind of software I need?

I don't know for Svcd .........but for vcd you'll need the following (and maybe some-else can fill the void for Svcd)



- Virtual dub ............for editting the subtitles into the avi
- the subtitler plugin for VDub
- a converter so your subtitles become a ssa file
- Nandub ..........for cutting the avi file

Then you will have an avi with subtitles

To make a mpg out of it you'll need
TMPGEnc (don't forget the plug-in)

To make a vcd out of it
Nero (or a simulair burning program) ........... for burning it as vcd

Like i said, this is for vcd (which gives me good enough quality, no hasle with bitrates and only two cd's)
