    white sparks when divX used

I got 'white sparks' when encoded with divX (Pro 5.03) despite if it is captured avi or ripped mpeg. I used to use a VirtualDub - probably there is a filter which removes this sh...

    Could U tell me:

The only times I get this is when I use DVD2AVI to convert a video and when I play the finished product while DVD2AVI is still open I get white specks. If you close the program and then play it it should go away.
Also, in dvd2avi, if you change it from PC video to TV video or visa versa that should also help you out.

I've already made some investigation so I can say I notice these sparks only in full screen mode, when set in 1024x768 or higher. What's strange - sometimes they appears, sometimes not. I completely have no idea why. When decreased to 800x600 it's OK.

It's rather not the case fo dvd2avi. As I said I also noticed it when I encoded my own video earlier captured from my DV camera to uncompressed avi

In that case that's your video card causing errors in the video. Do you have it overclocked? What video card do you have? It may be overheating. It does this to me if I overclock it too much.

I have GeForce4 MX-440 on board MSI K7N2-ILSR (AMD on nforce2). It works with default settings and 64 of 512 RAM DDR is dedicated.

I have tested it with some quite new games and haven't noticed anything wrong...
