No Sound.. !!

Hello all..

In need of a bit of assistance here please..
When converting div-x to mpeg..
I have no sound, converting is ok.. im using win on cd.. << roxio power ed >> and its great.
But when play back have no sound.. !! But the pic is perfect.. or do someone know a better programme that would more suitable for what i need.. !!
Would really appreciate some help here....

I would extract the sound of the AVI using VirtualDubMOD then I would use TMPGEnc to encode.

Make sure you save your AVI where there is no sound after you extracted it.

Use your soundless AVI for video and your extracted media file for sounds. Hope it works for ya

Before any "rush to judgment" as to how to best progress, do the following:

1) Load the DivX-compressed .AVI file into VirtualDub or NanDub

2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (both video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

Sister Bliss. What kind of player you are using? I've got the sound problem with mediaplayer 9 from microsoft. So i would suggest you try it with an older one or use an other player.
You needn't to extract anything!
Sometimes it's not the software with causes problems, it's the user!
