    Help ! New Here

I have a question , i'm new too all this programs here..What is the easiest way to convert a divx movie into a regular cd 700mb to be played on a DVD player? I'm using right at this moment nero but it is taking hours and the movies 680 mg and looks like is gonna be twice the size as it was before after converted...Also would be nice to have the movie by chapters just like a regular DVD

    thanks

Why are you duplicating your post here, well after you already have received responses to it in another sub-forum here???

Search the forum for 'nero vcd encoding' and you will find it is not recommanded.
Most popular is TMPEnc (http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/d...ds/tmpgenc.html). VCDEasy (http://www.vcdeasy.org/modules.php?...wnloads#VCDEasy) also works for me.

One Hour and 29 min went by and it's 9% still , very slow using Nero

I will try this other software that you mentioned ...So you think it will fit all in one cd 700 mb ?

you can burn them in Nero

Launch Nero, click on "file" ==) "preferences" ==) "Expert Features"

Then select "Enable overburn 'disc-at-once'burning option.

Under option "Maximun CD Length" you will have "min" "sec" and "frm" just put 81 or 82 in min section, leave the other options blank.

Try burning cd it will probably say you cant burn cd cause file is to big and give you the option to overburn.

i still don't get what ur trying to do

from what i can gather u r saying u want DIVX files to be burnt on CD and played in ur DVD player, correct?

if so, it will NOT work.

you must convert to VCD/SVCD then burn and it will play in ur DVD player, assuming that CDR and VCD/SVCD is supported by ur DVD player.

use TMPGEnc to convert the DIVX files to VCD/SVCD

then burn in nero as VCD/SVCD

                      and enjoy!

NO it only took about 20 minutes to encode/convert and burn the entire cd. did have one last night take forever but was downloading at the same time which slowed things down
