Creating subtitles?

I was woundering what the best program there is to use if you want to create your own subtitles and insert them into the movie file?

I don't know whether it will be of use to you or not, but there is a thread in GENERAL DISCUSSIONS entitled "Music Videos Lyrics" which has the topic on producing sub-titles in videos.

The thread to which I was referring is "Music Videos Lyrics in Srt". Which it does not specifically mention sub-titling, the methods used by the thread poster might be adaptable to producing sub-titles. You should be able to produce sub-titling in editing programs such as Ulead Video Studio, or VideoWave. You could also use Google to search for "sub-titling in video".
