    ac3 and xvid codecs

    Hi,

I just bought another computer and have decided not to use any codec packs on this one since i ran in to some trouble with those on my other machine. Now I'm woundering what the best ac3 codec is for playback in winblows mediaplayer and where I can download it.

I'm also woundering why gspot says that I have two codecs able to play an xvid file when the only codecs I have installed are one xvid codec namely koepis XviD-04102002-1 _ALPHA_ Release
and the Divx 5.0.5 stand alone codec.

    Grateful for answers,
    Pops

    Ac3 filter: http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/software.htm

GSpot & XVid: one is the codec, one the video decoder, both installed with XviD (click on 'stst' for details)

It really doesn't matter what you playback with AC3.
