    Maybe a very stupid question from my side ..............but does you dvd-player play cd-r's ?????????

    You can probebly look that up on a sony-site with all the models and find out what it can play (or not)

        Not every dvd-player supports the playback of cd-r (selmade music cd's) or vcd (bought or selfmade)

        Playing a dvd disk or a (bought) audiodisk will play allright ( it has something to do with the way cd-r's are made
        So i'm affraid you cannot play your copied music cd on your dvd-player......................you should be able to play it on a cd-player though
        If not:
        Try burning at a slower speed or
        buy another brand of cd-r's

        I hope this is an answer to your problem.

          The Sony standalone DVD players are probably the MOST finicky of all brands/models (one of my DVD players is a Sony) regarding which brands of CD-Rs it will recognize.

          In addition to virtually ANY brand of R/W CDs. it WILL accept Princo (as both a brand and a custom manufacturer, in which case you have to look for "PRINCO" printed around the hub), Prime Peripherals, and ArtMedia - and that's about it!

          Let us know of your success ;>}
