    TV connection from portable

    Hi,

I recently bought a new portable (with DVD).
I rented a DVD and am able to look at the movie on the portables screen, when I connect to the TV (s-video), I'm not able to get a visual on TV.
According to some search on the net, this is caused because the movie I'm trying to view is "Copy Protected".

I'm using WINDVD, my portable is a MITAC 7521T.

(I tried to overcome the problem by starting WINDVD from another program, DVD geniuss 4.05 withoud success)

thanks for any help in advise.

    Peter

When i hook up my laptop to the TV, i have to (besides plugging in the various cables) also select that i want to watch from the TV and not my laptopscreen. I think yours is no different, so look for the way to switch screens.

Maybe this is an answer with a high DUUUUUUUUUUUH-content, but i wanted to say it anyway.

I thought about that option aswell (seems evident ), but cannot find anything on the portable to change it.
Even in the manual nothing is mentioned.

when I start WINDVD, a message pops up saying that I need some "hardware" to be able to see "copy protected" DVD's on the TV screen.

      Thanks for the reply,

      Peter
