    weird out of sync problems

I have a dell with XP home edition and a compaq 1200 laptop with win 98. I have tsunami filter pack 3.9.9 installed on both of them. My problem is that files that play perfectly on my dell are way out of sync on my laptop. The audio is a few seconds ahead of the video. I've opened every file up in Gspot 2.1 and the program says all the codecs are installed and that there is no error in the rendering. I've tried configuring the direct show filters to play each individual file but it still doesn't work right. Is this a problem that I can fix or is my pentium 2, 128ram laptop just not going to cut it anymore?

You hit the spot there. The laptop is underpowered for this kind of task.

For your laptop, you might try one, some, or all of the following to improve its performance:

      1) Turn off any unnecessary programs running in the background

      2) Reduce the DESKTOP resolution to 640x480

      3) Reduce the DESKTOP color depth

thanks for the help, I'll make the resolution and color depth changes, and see if it works.
