    New To This Game

    Folks,

I've just got into Digital Video Editing. I'm currently using ulead VS V4.0se and have imported some DV footage, edited & added a few touches. I've exported back to my Canon MV3 great - no probs there.

My query is I'm trying to compress the footage so I can burn onto CD-R. I've saved/rendered/compressed using DivX V4 codec and this has indeed reduced the file size however the footage appears to freeze regularly throughout! I'm not that confident and wondered if you can assist me to solve this. I did try the above process again using MPEG4 codec, the file size increased however it did stop the above problem occuring on my resultant .avi - the difference though was 100mb.

Has anyone any tips / hint please.

    Nobby Norris.

I presume that your videos include audio. If so, what audio format, frequency, and sampling rate are you using?
