dvd2vcd

is the quality of the vcd made with dvd2vcd as good as one that is ripped with gordian knot and encoded with tmpgenc. i got the gordian knot system pack and what not but it got kinda confusing and i haven't sat down to figure it all out yet...just looking for an easier way.
